What the hell is Tinker Town?

Tinker City is... A Power-Pop quartet out of the Los Angeles area. With piano, bass, guitar and drums an intersting mix of rock, pop, alternative and progressive styles are achieved. Three and Four part harmonies blend with the melodies and remind us such artists as the Beach Boys and Queen. The sound of Tinker City could be best compared to such bands as Ben Folds Five, Phish, The Jellyfish, Jason Falkner, Quasi, Weezer, and the Beach Boys. Tinker City is Mikie Schadel - Drums Michael McGraw - Guitar Michael Biscotti - Bass Dan allen Atkins - Piano Vocals by all. Not uncommon to the social massses are the statements that follow: Why are you guys named TinkerCity, why not just the Mikes? or my fav (the value meal)...Why not just 3 Mikes and a Dan? (Just a little bit of our agony on the table for you guys/gals. Jump in whilst the water is warm! Ha Ha ---Keep on truckin')

A bit of our History

Tinker City was originally a 3 piece band from Upland, CA rooted in the Inland Empire. Most people don't even know where that is!

The original name for the band was RUG, but we decided to change that! Tinker City was originally formed with Mikie Schadel, Michael Biscotti and Michael McGraw. With a guitar, bass and drums mix, and roots setting into pop music.

In 1997, Dan Atkins joined the band to form the present members. Tinker City has always been a musically diverse group of musicians, but with the addition of Dan, the band was an new eclectic mix.

The band has had wonderful growth as musicians and a musical identity.

It has now been almost 5 years and we are more creative than ever.
